Abstract

A study was made of the morulation in the sheep embryos with special attention on the morphological and ultrastructural characteristics. For this embryos are classified in three stages depending of the number of cells, early morula (8-16 cells), intermediate morula (16-40 cells) and late morula (more than 40 cells). The observed modifications was describes during the development of the morula. The results were discussed in relationship, with the differentiation of the blastocyst of two different cell populations, trophoblast and inner cell mass.
