He cast a heterodox, critical, and non-dogmatic light on the dominant Marxism during the Cold War, mainly in praxis, ethics, and aesthetics. However, he did not come to philosophy fully until a late period, in 1952, at the age of 37, when he finished his master's degree and began to collaborate with Professor Eli de Gortari at UNAM. Until then, his philosophy had been fed by Spanish poetry and world literature, managing to build the columns of what will be in the future his thinking on the need to overcome the capitalist system and build utopia, contributing to forging the “new man” and cement exile as an existential category. This typical character is also one of the most familiar elements in the history of children's literature. However, taking into account that almost half of this gender in Spain is translated literature, little has been written about the treatment of this figure and her world in the translator´s hands. There are not many critical studies about the way witches travel from one language/culture to another. The presence of a special addressee - the child - with a world full of nuances, apparently simple but in extremely complex, obliges the translator to establish a dialogue with his or her readers. The translation of children's literature is an appropriate training for not forgetting the target audience. The translator has the opportunity to re-create in his or her own language and to take decisions to keep the balance between the need and/or the obligation to clarify something that might be incomprehensible for the readership. The aim of this article is to analyse how these magical characters - the witches and their environment - have been treated in the hands of the translator. To this end, an analysis of some translations of works in which the character of the witch is the protagonist is offered. Regarding <em>The Savage Detectives</em>, one of the most interesting is the one that relates the visual poems of Cesárea Tinajero with the conception of the self and identity proposed by Sigmund Freud. Pedagogical models such as hybrid learning, flipped classrooms, and gamification demand proficient use of a wide range of digital tools. While technology and AI can enhance student motivation and engagement, they also present challenges and limitations. In this context, the role of teachers—with their pedagogical competencies and technological skills— is crucial to ensure dynamic and effective learning of Spanish as a Foreign Language. Based on a literaturer eview, teaching experience, and language teachers’ attitudes and perceptions, this study will identify tools with didactic potential for synchronous and asynchronous university environments. Resources will be presented for interactive content creation, language skills practice, and formative assessment. Proposals for effective, engaging, and active teaching and learning will be also discussed. The results of the study are compared, and the implications and motivations of the selection of linguistic varieties are examined. In the field of language teaching, its immersive environments enhance innovation, interaction, and personalisation of learning, key factors for this type of student. In this context, this study presents a narrative review of the literature with the main objective of analyzing the potential of virtual reality to promote learning and academic development among students with dyslexia in the teaching of Spanish as a second language/foreign language. Through a search of specialized academic databases, studies were selected that had been peer-reviewed, published between 2017 and 2025, in Spanish or English, and were relevant to the objectives of this research. This article will present the results of a VE project with 31 university students of Spanish, aimed at developing oral skills and learning procedures, particularly those related to socio-affective aspects. The results obtained through the analysis of a reflection activity carried out by the students at the end of the VE show how they perceive their oral skills have improved, and the reflection activities that are part of the exchange tasks have helped them become aware of the use of learning procedures related to planning, managing and controlling affective factors, and evaluating their own experience.
