Abstract

The genetic variability of a population of Churra sheep with 255 animals is estimated through the electrophoretic analysis of the following genetic blood systems: haemoglobin, malic enzime, NADH-diaphorase, nucleoside phosphorylase, carbonic anhydrase, transferrin, albumin and arylesterase. All the studied loci showed polimorphism. No significant deviation from Hardy-Weinberg equilibrium was found. The values obtained of the heterozygosity per locus were variable and the heterozygosis average calculated was H = 0,350 ± 0,069.
