Abstract

A sampling was performed on 100 permanent meadows of León mountain (Northwest Spain) in which 34 species of legumes were identified, 14 species which shaved a frecuency higher than 6% are studied in this paper. Through the use of ecological profiles the cited species are analysed with respect to 21 parameters obtained from the edafic analysis in each point of sampling. The edaphic variables that showed a larger number of statistical significances were: organic matter, pH, potassium and phosphorus available. Medicago sativa, Lathyrus pratensis, Trifolium dubium and Lotus corniculatus appeared as the species more indicative.
