Abstract

Two new procedures to purify L-glycol dehydrogenase (NAD+) from Enterobacter aerogenes are proposed. Both of them give very pure preparations (s. a. = 31,5-34 I.U./ mg protein), with a high yield (42-49% of initial activity), avoid the use of fractionation techniques harmful to the enzyme and are also adventageous in requiring only 6-8 hours.
