Abstract

The episcopal palace of Astorga, that Gaudí couldn’t finish, keeps, in a stoned ring at the basis of the north spire, made up by deliberately irregular pieces, a deeply original testimony of the gaudinian thought and aesthetics, which hasn’t been noticed nor valued until now, and that serves to establish the limit between the work made by the Catalan architect and one by his successors.
