Abstract

A test has been carried out to compare the efficiency of urea with that of ammonium nitrate as fertilizers in permanent pasture grounds in the mountains by using three different concentrations or levels of fertilization in each ferlilizer. The result show the efficiency of the nitrogenous íertilization in general, in this culture and the effect of urea is slighter greater than that of ammonium nitrate. The nitrogenous urea had not any well defined effect upan the quality of the forage. A decrease in the value of ratio Ca/P was appreciated.
