Abstract

A 91 day test has been carried out utilizing two lots of 11 female sheep from "Churra" race each. Two granulated feeds were compared between them by using the group and period system; one feed contained a 50% of dried hen dung while the other one was composed of a mixture of flours normally used in feeding animals. The female sheep under this test participated in a Provincial Competition of Milk Yield for the above said race and they got the 3rd. Prize for a 150-day lactation. The feed used as a blank was eaten with greediness and the female sheep showed no change of feed. According to the results obtained one may deduce that the granulated feed containing a 50% of hen dung had no unfavorable influence neither on the production of milk nor on the body weight of the female sheep under test
