Abstract

A study has been carried out on the effect of rnassive doses of vitamin in growing broilers (20.000 1. U./p.o./werk/bird) throughout 10 weeks; this effect was compared to that of broilers consuming a similar diet but without any contribution of vitamin.

The serum proteinemia, phosphatases and clorinemia were maintained with no variations in both groups of broilers experimentd. The phosphatase and magnesemia in broilers which were given vitamin D3 were lower than those in blank broilers. Calcemia in blank broilers which were given a high dose of vitamin D3 throughout the experiment.
