Abstract

A study has been carried out on the influence of methanol content, ionic strength and pH of mobile phase on Chromatography of penicillins and cephalosporins when Bondapack C 18 is used as stationary phase.
The corresponding capacity factors have benn determined and a comparative study has also been carried out of the results obtained for different penicillins and cephalosporins, as well as for 7-Amino Cephalosporanis Acid (7-ACA), 6-Amino Penicillanic Acid (6-APA) and 7-Amino Deacetoxy Cephalosporanic Acid (7-ADCA).
