Abstract

Digital technologies open up new scenarios for life in society, for the economy and for interpersonal relationships. There are many challenges facing us as a society as a result of the technological revolution.

Technologies open up new horizons for the regulatory role of law and the work of legal professionals, who are called upon to strike a balance between the use of technologies and respect for the rights and freedoms of the individual.

We are facing global challenges, a change of paradigm and of era. New challenges for which solutions must be found that are grounded in concrete reality and from the perspective of guaranteeing rights. The great challenge is to protect and guarantee the fundamental right to data protection in a public-private context of accelerating innovation, digital transformation, the promotion of the data economy and the widespread application of artificial intelligence, from a holistic vision of society and the economy and with an inclusive, ethical and human rights-guaranteeing perspective.
