Abstract

An one-year study about the frequency of fungi in the air of Leon revealed that those found in higher concentration were: Yeasts (24,8 % ), Aspergillus (17,3 % ), Penicillium (17 % ), Cladosporium (17 % ) and Phoma ( 10,3 % ) ; the colony number decreases during winter and increases during spring and autumn Cladosporium appears in higher concentration during those months of lesser relative humidity, whereas Aspergillus and Penicillium do in those of higher one. A close correlation between air fungi and results of cutaneous tests was observed.
