Abstract

The aim of this study is to demonstrate the effectiveness of the mobile application WhatsApp as a virtual social learning space that stimulates learners' natural participation in online interaction activities in Italian (LE). The proposed micro-activities promote both the practice and the observation of characteristic Italian cultural aspects and, consequently, contribute to the development of intercultural communicative competence.
