本文探讨博尔赫斯主编的文选《梦之书》中出现的中国古典故事,以博尔赫斯三四十年代发表在杂志《家》(El Hogar)、《南方》(Sur)和《国家》(La Nación)上的关于中国典籍的英译本或德译本的批评文章为基础,考察博尔赫斯获取这些文献的来源以及博尔赫斯选择这些故事入该文选的原因,分析这些故事中吸引博尔赫斯的因素 (诸如镜子、迷宫、噩梦、替身、平行宇宙以及时间的悖论)。同时,通过博尔赫斯对这些中国故事的传播和改写,分析博尔赫斯在本书中扮演的誊写者和作者角色。
