Abstract

Little Fires Everywhere is an American production that premiered in spring 2020. This miniseries consists of a single season composed of eight episodes each lasting approximately 55 minutes. Directed by Michael Weaver, it is an adaptation of the book of the same name by Celeste Ng, developed and scripted for the television format by Liz Tigelaar and Nancy Won.

Author Biography

Rocío C. Calvillo Sampedro, Universidad de Huelva - España

She holds a degree in Hispanic Philology. As a teacher, she combined teaching Spanish Language and Literature with training in Spanish as a Foreign Language (ELE), teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language at the Modern Languages ​​Service of the University of Huelva and serving as an official DELE examiner at the Instituto Cervantes. Her ongoing personal interest in feminism led her to pursue a Master's Degree in Gender, Identities, and Citizenship Studies jointly offered by the University of Huelva (UHU) and the University of Cádiz (UCA). She is currently working on her thesis as part of the PhD Program in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies at the UHU under the supervision of Dr. Mª Victoria Galloso Camacho, merging the linguistic landscape of graffiti with gender violence and bias.
